About
Why do this?

Even when you don't have a gig, the drive to create music, and the need to bring those creative embryos to life, to see how they grow and change, that still burns inside you.

Putting songs together yourself on your computer is never as good as the feeling of a band hitting its stride, of four or five musicians taking your little song ideas and filling them with passion, creating a masterpiece in front of an appreciative crowd, a spiritual, artistic experience where the act of listening is part of the creation. That's the art of rock and roll at its purest form.

But the crafting of a song is still a joy, building layers and harmonies and turning it from you and an acoustic guitar into a whole song. And closing off the world with your headphones and listening to words and music that touch you, that's rock too.

The songs here are at various stages of creation, from roughs with me and an acoustic, to ones fleshed out with multiple tracks and harmonies. They're still in progress, not properly mixed and mastered yet, but they should be enough to get the idea.
